Frequently asked questions

How does AudioToText work?

You upload an audio or video file, our AI transcribes it into text, and you can optionally generate a summary or study material from the transcript.

Which file formats are supported?

MP3, MP4, M4A, WAV, OGG and WEBM, up to 200 MB per file.

How much does a transcription cost?

1 credit per minute of audio, rounded up. For example, a 1min01s audio costs 2 credits.

How much do the summary and study material cost?

The AI Summary costs 2 credits and Study Material also costs 2 credits.

What happens if I run out of credits?

You won't be able to confirm a transcription, summary or study material until you buy more credits. Before any charge, the screen shows how many credits are required.

Do my credits expire?

No. Your credits never expire — use them whenever you want.

My transcription failed. Will I lose my credits?

No. If your transcription fails after being charged, the amount is refunded to your credits.

Where can I find my previous transcriptions?

On the History page, accessible from the menu. It only shows your own transcriptions.

Are my files and transcriptions private?

Yes. Your files and transcriptions can only be accessed by you — no one else can see them through AudioToText, and there's no public link to share them. To generate your transcript (and, if you request it, the summary or study material), the content is processed by OpenAI, our AI provider.

Can I transcribe large files?

Yes, up to 200 MB per file. Files larger than 25 MB are automatically processed in parts, at no extra cost — pricing stays 1 credit per minute.
